Earlier today, about 40,000 workers in Tehran protested in front of the Iranian Parliament. Their complaints included low salaries and poor working conditions.

Recently there have been a greater and greater number of uprisings and public protests in Iran. Starting with the 2009 Green Revolution, popular uprisings have regularly showed the populations dissatisfaction with the ruling regime.
