April 14, 2016: According to Iranian state media “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” are fundamental to the ideals of Khomeini’s 1979 Revolution and will continue “as long as we live” stated Ayatollah Khatami, a member of the Assembly of Experts.
In its ongoing hostile rhetoric — and despite the US led effort under the Obama administration to craft and pass a nuclear deal that restores billions of dollars in frozen assets and international legitimacy to the Shi’ite hegemonic regime in Tehran — the hardliner cleric went on further to say that Israel would not exist in 25 years and that the “US’ nature is based on imperialism and oppression….”
Khatami emphatically stated that resistance, rather than negotiation, is the only answer to enemies’ hostility. He drew upon the example of the Palestinian uprising that according to the Iranian regime is referenced in the Quran and has made Israelis miserable.
